St. Louis Moms Blog 1st Birthday Bash!

0

After months of planning, it was so exciting to see all of the pieces come together for our Birthday Bash last Sunday at Millenium Park in Creve Coeur. We had just under 200 people of all ages join us for a steamy afternoon of celebration. We are so thankful for all of the guests, vendors and volunteers that made the event run smoothly! We of course, would like to thank our title sponsor, Play Street Museum for making this all possible.

There was truly fun for all ages at our party! We had a bright and colorful setting thanks to Party Hop Shop, who made a beautiful balloon arch and backdrop for plenty of Insta-worthy photos!

We heard from plenty of families that not only were the amenities of the park itself a lot of fun, the activities and entertainment were plentiful! We had a slime-making station from Play Street Museum, Field Games, a visit from the Bubble Bus, a Magic Show from Abra-Kid-Abra and visits from Elsa & Spiderman courtesy of Simply A Princess & Friends

While the kids were busy playing, it was nice to take a moment to have a little adult fun! This was my first time seeing the Beer Outside Truck, and it was a hit! I also loved seeing the Kendra Scott Color Bar and Pop-Up Shop! There were some beautiful pieces of jewelry out for sale and Kendra Scott generously donated 20% of proceeds to Sweet Celebrations, a local organization that enriches the lives of children and teens experiencing homelessness by providing  personalized birthday celebrations.

In typical St. Louis fashion, it was a VERY hot & steamy afternoon in July. The splash pad was where most of the kids found some relief, along with the ice water, provided by Laurie’s Shoes! And each person, got to take home one of these cute bottles!

Then there was the food…(yum!)

Burger’s Smokehouse provided BBQ ribs, pulled pork & hot dogs for a crowd! The ribs especially were a hit, with many people coming back for a second helping! And for dessert, there was a cookie buffet provided by Baked Bakery & Cafe. They also made a custom birthday cake with our logo that our owners got to cut (and eat!). Also, I think nearly everyone made a visit to the Cool Times Ice Cream Truck!

My favorite part of the whole event was seeing all of the kids and families connecting and enjoying themselves. We definitely guarantee that the kids and adults had a good night’s sleep after all the excitement at the party! We’d like to thank everyone who made it possible and we hope to see you again soon at our next event!

Thank you to all our sponsors who made this event possible!

Jennedy is hoping to figure out the magic formula of work, life and self-care balance. She’ll be sure to write about it right here when she does.
